ABOUT ME

Devoted to Wellness

Patricia Tenyer, DACM, L.Ac, LMT

I am a California State Board licensed Doctor of Chinese Medicine. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yo San University with a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. I also hold a Bachelors degree from Occidental College in Asian Studies. I have over 2000 hours of massage and specialized bodywork training, including cranio-sacral therapy, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Deep Tissue, Tui Na, and Pregnancy Massage.

I have received specialized acupuncture and herbal medicine training in pain management, women's health, autoimmune diseases, and dermatology. In 2012, I completed an intensive certification training in Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield-one of the forerunners of Facial Acupuncture training and innovation.  I am certified in Microneedling as well,  and offer this

service in addition to facial acupuncture for the treatment of the face and body for rejuvenation as well as scar therapy. I am also trained in

Medical Qi Gong and Tai Chi in the 38th generation Ni family tradition, as taught by Daoshing and Master Maoshing Ni,

Doctors of Acupuncture and founders of Yo San University.

In my practice, I use an integrative approach, creating a personalized treatment plan for each patient that can include acupuncture, herbs, diet, massage and movement therapy. My goal is to address the root of the problem and not just the symptoms. My needling technique is based on the Japanese style of acupuncture, a method that uses thinner needles and gentle needle insertion to achieve maximum results. This allows for an effective treatment with greater patient comfort

My family has been visiting Carpinteria for over 70 years and I've spent many holidays at the State Campground. It was an obvious choice to set up my clinic in my favorite place, so after passing my California state board exams in 2013, I moved Carpinteria and opened my acupuncture clinic. I feel so blessed every day to wake up in my happy place. I am committed to assisting my patients in living their healthiest lives, so education is a big part of my mission. My services are individually tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring that you receive the most effective treatment possible. I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions, please reach out to me via email and I will happily respond.
